Hybrid Heterogeneous Hierarchical Models for Knowledge-Based Autonomous Systems
نویسندگان
چکیده
formalism (really just a hierarchical graph) serves only to group together the underlying models. The abstract model has no dynamic description or useful analytical routines, but the graph can be used to compile simple facts for the knowledge-base which are useful in interpretation. With hybrid model theory, we at least have a formal foundation upon which these problems can be formulated. Additionally, hybrid model theory is based on formalisms (Petri nets, queuing nets, etc.) which are used in many fields and understood by many researchers. We believe this places hybrid model theory in a unique position within modelling theories. It has extended the potential of formal modelling methods without changing the way investigators currently use modelling methods and without significantly increasing the complexity involved in modelling.

Hierarchical Functional Concepts for Knowledge Transfer among Reinforcement Learning Agents
This article introduces the notions of functional space and concept as a way of knowledge representation and abstraction for Reinforcement Learning agents. These definitions are used as a tool of knowledge transfer among agents. The agents are assumed to be heterogeneous; they have different state spaces but share a same dynamic, reward and action space. In other words, the agents are assumed t...
متن کاملSemantic Coordination in Systems of Autonomous Agents: the Approach and an Implementation
Semantic coordination, namely the problem of finding an agreement on the meaning of heterogeneous semantic models, is one of the key issues in the development of the open agent-based systems. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm for discovering semantic mappings across autonomous agents’ local data models based on a new approach to semantic coordination. This approach shifts the problem of...
متن کاملHybrid Control Mode Based On Multi-Sensor Information by Fuzzy Approach for Navigation Task of Autonomous Mobile Robot
This paper addresses the issue of the autonomous mobile robot (AMR) navigation task based on the hybrid control modes. The novel hybrid control mode, based on multi-sensors information by using the fuzzy approach, has been presented in this research. The system operates in real time, is robust, enables the robot to operate with imprecise knowledge, and takes into account the physical limitation...
متن کاملContext-aware Modeling for Spatio-temporal Data Transmitted from a Wireless Body Sensor Network
Context-aware systems must be interoperable and work across different platforms at any time and in any place. Context data collected from wireless body area networks (WBAN) may be heterogeneous and imperfect, which makes their design and implementation difficult. In this research, we introduce a model which takes the dynamic nature of a context-aware system into consideration. This model is con...
متن کاملA knowledge-based simulation environment for hierarchical flexible manufacturing
This article presents an approach to embedding expert systems within an object oriented simulation environment. The basic idea is to create classes of expert system models that can be interfaced with other model classes. An expert system shell is developed within a knowledge-based design and simulation environment which combines artificial intelligence and systems modeling concepts. In the give...
